Alena Apina, the former soloist of the band “Combination”, was angry that the band Russian Girls used her voice in the backing vocals of their songs. The artist talked about this in the program “You won’t believe it!”.
“They became popular because of our voice. I kept silent because I was deceived. “Vitaly Alekseevich said that there is a law that says copyright has no legal force if it was created before 1991,” said Apina enraged.
He explained that the group was deceived by composer Vitaly Okorokov, who stated that he gave Russian Girls songs for free. Apina is sure that Okorokov has been getting dividends from the songs “Combination” all this time. The singer admitted that the inclusion of the band’s composition in the popular TV series “The Boy’s Word” was the final straw for him. “There is blood on the asphalt,” he said, but the artists did not get paid for it.
Now Alena Apina and Tatyana Ivanova are filing a lawsuit “for justice.” Okorokov is also confident that the women will lose because he has a music company and 50 lawyers behind him.
