On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the journalist, a documentary film about his life was released on Channel One “Vladimir Pozner. 90 minutes.” The film was shot without the participation of the hero of the day, based on his autobiographical book of the same name.
Posner learned that the film would be released from the announcement of the channel’s programs.
He commented about the premiere, “I really didn’t want my birthday to turn into some kind of public event, I don’t really like it, to put it mildly, I don’t like it at all.”
According to Posner, he did not intend to celebrate the anniversary on a large scale and was planning to throw a private party for his closest friends, the details of which will not be shared.
Vladimir Pozner’s original program disappeared from Channel One’s network after the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine; then the channel’s broadcast was redirected to socio-political and information projects.
