Singer Sergei Lazarev called for no competition to help victims of terrorist attacks in the Crocus City Hall concert hall. This was reported by HABER.ru.
Lazarev explained that philanthropy is not a competition about who can help and invest the most money. According to the artist, each person provides support as much as they can and “how they feel”. The artist also believes that there is no need to indicate specific amounts sent to charities, as frank statements lead to exaggerated accusations.
Lazarev also added that stars who do not talk about their charitable activities are often accused of inaction.
“In general, in principle, you need to do good, and this should become a good tradition, a habit,” the artist said.
On the evening of March 22, before the Picnic band’s performance at Crocus Town Hall, four men armed with machine guns opened fire on visitors and then continued the attack inside the concert venue.
Some stars of Russian show business made transfers to a fund to help victims and their families during the terrorist attack. These include Instasamka, Morgenstern (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), Anna Asti, Olga Buzova, Anton Pinsky, Yegor Creed.
Previously The picnic group temporarily suspended their private performances following the terrorist attack in Crocus.
