According to the publication, “Cheburashka” will participate in the “New Year’s battle” along with the films “Gorynych” and “Sivka-Burka”. Originally, the premiere of the Cheburashka sequel was supposed to take place on December 31, 2025.
Dmitry Dyachenko’s “Cheburashka” was released in Russian cinemas on January 1, 2023 and became the highest-grossing film in the history of domestic distribution. The film surpassed the previous record in box office revenue, Klim Shipenko’s 2019 film “Slave”, which grossed 3.082 billion rubles.
Aimed at audiences over the age of six, the family comedy tells the story of Cheburashka’s adventures in a small seaside town. He comes there from a distant orange country.
