When asked to comment on the singer’s harsh statements towards him, Mikhailov said: “God bless him.”
On March 5, Mikhailov said that artists who allowed themselves to say “unpleasant things” about Russia were “not acting entirely correctly.” The journalist asked the singer whether she had time to listen to Pugacheva’s new song and whether she thought that “now she should release new compositions.” To this, Mikhailov immediately attacked the artists who left Russia with criticism, saying that he had not listened to the song.
In response to this Pugacheva suggested Mikhailov “to earn money while he can.” In his video message, he emphasized that he would not return to Russia, and that if he did, he would “speak what he thinks”.
