Residents of the Russian capital voted for the name Amur for the Amur tiger in the Moscow Zoo. This was reported by press service the mayor of the capital and the Moscow government.
“Voting on the Active Citizen project has ended,” the publication states.
According to the press service, a total of four options were proposed for the name of the predator.
“The name Amur received the most votes. “He was elected by more than 52 percent of the citizens,” explained the capital’s officials.
In second place was Orion (20% of the votes), in third place was Khabar (14% of the votes), and in last place was Vostok (11%). More than 255 thousand citizens participated in the survey.
It was learned that the Amur tiger, which was caught in the Khabarovsk Region in February, was captured. I suffered from one person. The predator was found to have multiple injuries. These are the consequences of falling into a trap that leads to the fracture and loss of two fingers. The tiger also suffered serious dental injuries. The animal probably took them while trying to escape the trap.
