Representatives of the site, commenting on the cancellation, promised to return the money for the purchased tickets, saying: “We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to this event and asked for understanding.”

Tour organizer InArts Production also explained the cancellation due to concern for the safety of the audience, reminding that they started “planning this event even before the pandemic.”

The Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Korea protested Zakharova’s speech in early March. Kiev official demands that South Korea cancel cultural cooperation with Russia; Ukrainian diplomats were supported by representatives of the European Union.

The Russian embassy in Seoul described the actions of Ukrainian and European diplomats as reckless.

From April 16 to 18, the Bolshoi Theater will present the program Ballet Gala Concert in Seoul, which Ukrainian diplomats also oppose.
