Investigators of the Ministry of Internal Affairs demanded the arrest in absentia of the former general director of Lenfilm, Fyodor Shcherbakov. This was reported by TASS.

We are talking about a case of extortion by the top manager of Rostec, Vasily Brovko.

“Inspectors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs petitioned the Moscow Tverskoy Court for the arrest in absentia of Shcherbakov and Dmitry Zhmutsky. Both are charged under paragraph “b” of Part 3 of Art. 163 (extortion for the purpose of acquiring property, especially on a large scale), said representatives of the Tverskoy court.

In February, St. Fyodor Shcherbakov, former director of the Lenfilm film studio in St. Petersburg, reportedly served as a witness in this case. It was also reported that Shcherbakov was put on the wanted list.

On February 12, Ksenia Sobchak’s commercial director, Kirill Sukhanov, was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison in the case of extortion by the head of the Rostec state company, Sergei Chemezov.

In March, Moscow’s Tverskoy Court ruled to extend the detention of Public Relations manager Anton Safonov, who was accused of extorting two million rubles from a senior manager of Rostec.
