Soviet and Russian theater and film actor Anatoly Aleksandrovich Vasiliev was born on November 6, 1946 in Nizhny Tagil. He graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School in 1969. From 1969 to 1973 he was an actor at the Moscow Satire Theatre. In 1973 it moved to the Central Theater of the Soviet Army. The actor has been working at the Moscow Mossovet Theater since 1995. Vasiliev played in the plays “Everything in the Garden” by Edward Albee (Jack Foster) and “Lies for a Narrow Circle” by Afanasy Salynsky (Andrei Kachurin). Vasiliev is one of the creators, music writers and actors of Yuri Lyubimov’s play “The Good Man from Szechwan”. He was the husband of famous actresses Maria Neelova and Iya Savvina.
