Rapper Alisher Morgenstern (known as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) appealed the third foreign agent penalty imposed at the beginning of the year for not marking the foreign agent on social networks. This was reported by RIA News referring to the court.

The court confirmed that Morgenstern appealed the decision on the grounds of an administrative offense.

The artist is fined 50 thousand rubles. Also on March 21, the Moscow City Court will check the legality of another fine imposed on Morgenstern – 40 thousand rubles. This was the first administrative penalty he received for not stating the status of a foreign agent in online publications.

In February, the Moscow City Court approved another fine against the musician for failure to submit a declaration of income and expenses to the Ministry of Justice.

In case of repeated violations of the law on the activities of foreign agents, Morgenstern may face criminal liability.

The reason why the musician became known as a foreign agent in May 2022 was due to political posts on his Telegram channel and YouTube videos in which the rapper received more than 29 million rubles from 2020 to 2022 from Yoola Labs Ltd, a company registered in Israel.

The other day, the head of the Safe Internet League Ekaterina Mizulina at a meeting with schoolchildren and students in Tyumen statedThat Morgenstern could return to Russia.
