Great Britain and France will present films at the Tsiolkovsky festival

The competition program of the Tsiolkovsky International Film Festival will include films and programs from 27 countries as well as Russia. This was reported by TASS with reference to the festival press service.

The main topics of the show, which will be held in Kaluga between April 12-16, will be space heroes and the 90th anniversary of the birth of Yuri Gagarin, the first human pilot in space.

“We are trying to preserve the memory of our country’s great achievements in the field of space research and pass it on to future generations. Let the fifth Tsiolkovsky International Film Festival be a bright event that reflects the magnitude of this great achievement,” said the head of the film festival, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Ugolnikov.

Iran, India, China, Brazil, Greece, England, Romania, Turkey, France and other countries will present feature films, documentaries, animation and puppet films at the festival. The full festival program will be announced on March 15.

The festival will be held at the Museum of the History of Cosmonautics. Film screenings under the chairmanship of KE Tsiolkovsky will also be held in the House of the Center for Innovative Culture, Center for Folk Art and Cinema, the regional scientific library bearing his name. VG Belinsky and other Kaluga institutions. The winner will be awarded the Tsiolkovsky Grand Prix.
