People’s Artist of Russia Yuri Antonov admitted that he did not end his career in Russia, but refused to hold solo concerts. The singer talked about this in one of his speeches. mk.ru.
“Yes, I work. But now I mostly record new songs in the studio. <…> There is no longer a special desire to travel around the country with concerts. At my age this will be strange,” Antonov remarked.
On February 19, Antonov turned 79 years old. He admitted that he feels his age, not 40 or 50 years old. The singer added that her health is also “not entirely pleasant” but, according to the artist, she has to live with her health problems.
The singer celebrated his birthday at home with his close friends.
“Everything went well. Everyone who needed to be congratulated was congratulated. Of course, they also gave me gifts. But I don’t want to talk about them: at my age, this is not a modest thing,” said the artist.
