The leader of the band “Mirage” broke his leg before the concert in Moscow

Alexey Gorbashov, guitarist and leader of the Mirage band, admitted to socialbites.ca that he broke his leg before his last performance in Moscow.

The musician recalled the incident: “When I was adjusting the sound, during the sound check, my leg bent over some structure, something inside cracked and stars flew out of my eyes.”

He admitted that he finished his work and went to the clinic to get an x-ray. Later, doctors told the artist that “part of the metatarsal bone was broken.” He was advised to take painkillers and “lay down and stay still” wearing a leg brace for six weeks.

“I told him [врачу] I ask if you can replace the pills with alcohol and he says you can. Can I go on stage? “He says it’s impossible, we shouldn’t disturb our legs,” complained the musician

However, Gorbashov stated that he still played the concert while sitting on a bar stool. The event took place on February 17 at the Moscow club “1930”.

The first album of the Soviet and Russian band “Mirage”, “The Stars Are Waiting for Us”, was released 35 years ago. The soloist of the group since 1991 is the singer Ekaterina Boldysheva, whose voice can be heard in the third album of the group “Not for the first time”. Her partner and lover, guitarist Alexei Gorbashov, has been a member of Mirage since 1988.
