The script of the first episode of the Star Wars series was sold at auction for £ 10.7 thousand. This was reported by Guard.
According to the publication, the script was dropped off by Harrison Ford at the actor’s London apartment. The text went under the hammer for £ 10,795 (about 1.25 million rubles at the current exchange rate – socialbites.ca). As the Guardian notes, Ford left her at the house where she was staying while filming Star Wars in 1976. Most likely the copy is his personal copy left with other things.
The Guardian explained that the script was incomplete but contained scenes cut from the final version of the film. The text also includes famous scenes and dialogue, including Chewbacca’s first appearance.
Disney in January deferred The Star Wars spin-off will be worked on indefinitely due to differences between screenwriter Steven Knight and LucasFilm.
According to World of Reel, Knight wrote a draft of the script, but had to develop it from scratch due to comments. The publication states that Steven Knight may leave the project altogether.
