Actor Russell Crowe admitted to People that he broke both his shins while filming Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood.
Crowe said he broke his legs in one of the battle scenes.
“I remember stopping before jumping and thinking: ‘This is going to hurt.’ After I landed, it felt like an electric current was running through my body,” the artist shared.
Crowe noted that he did not attach any importance to the pain and continued to work without days off or holidays. Only 10 years later, he consulted a doctor complaining of pain in his legs. The doctor then took an x-ray and asked the actor when his legs were broken.
“Apparently I finished the tape with two broken legs. What wouldn’t you do for art? No casts, splints or painkillers. I just worked and over time everything healed itself,” said the actor.
