Comedian and former star of the “Evening Urgant” program on Channel One, Dmitry Romanov, who left Russia, talked about the end of his career. Romanov shared this on his Instagram page (its owner, Meta, is known as an extremist and is banned in Russia).
“I’m finishing my tour this year, I’m coming to cities I haven’t been to yet, and I don’t plan on going anymore. So make sure you catch me live,” the stand-up comedian wrote.
Romanov announced that he successfully completed his first mentorship last year. He now wants to focus on this area.
“And the point is not that you can earn a lot in knowledge work. “No, naturally I want to make good money too, but only because I bring real benefits to people,” he explained.
Romanov left TNT in 2018 and stopped participating in the channel’s humorous projects. From 2019 to 2022, the comedian hosted the “Secular Exit” column on the “Evening Urgent” program.
Romanov left Russia for Turkey and then Poland in 2022. The artist spoke about obtaining Israeli citizenship in July 2023.
