Russian science fiction writer Nik Perumov, who has been living in the USA for 25 years, writes on his social media page that he supports SVO NEXT.
“Those who sit away from deadly events and arrogantly discuss these events on comfortable sofas are poor and despised people. Of course, I apply this rule to myself, otherwise it has no value,” Perumov wrote.
The author believes that soldiers currently fighting at the front or living in border areas where enemy drones may fall on their heads have the right to discuss the “great and terrible war for the reunification of Russian lands.” Perumov believes that people who left Russia are now deprived of the moral right to speak about the events taking place on their land.
“No, those who left do not have such a right. Until they return,” Perumov concluded.
In December 2023, writer Boris Akunin (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent and included in the list of terrorists and extremists) chatted with pranksters Vovan and Lexus, thinking that he was talking with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. During the dialogue, he said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ missile attacks on Crimea were justified. 12 January 2024 Ministry of Justice accepted Akunin as a foreign agent. On January 26, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs placed the writer on the international wanted list.
