Journalist and TV presenter Leonid Parfenov spoke in Dubai. The video was published by Telegram channel “Dubai.Report”.
Parfenov was asked whether his speech in the UAE was censored and whether the journalist was banned from speaking on stage. According to the author of the Parthenon YouTube channel, there was no censorship and he could freely discuss any topic.
“Were you forbidden to say anything? There was no such request,” said Parfenov.
The journalist also answered questions regarding the status of a foreign agent. In his opinion, one should not be afraid to receive such a status, because “it is impossible to surround yourself with straw.”
Parfenov explained that he did not know how he was able to avoid receiving foreign agent status. The journalist talked about the situation with Maxim Galkin (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) and the Bi-2 group, whose performances abroad were canceled.
“It is impossible to think about it. If you are afraid, you will not do anything. I already remember this from Soviet times. This may be the most important lesson they left us,” said the TV presenter.
Previously reportedIt was stated that three members of the Bi-2 group could be deported to Russia.
