General director of the Mosfilm film concern, film director and People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Karen Shakhnazarov says that in the series “Klipot” a reference to Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s famous novel “Demons” can be seen.
“As far as I know, the four-part film is being announced as a kind of reference to Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s famous novel “Demons”. In essence, this is a new look at the classic Russian philosophical conflict “Fronde – State” in modern realities,” said Shakhnazarov.
According to him, the series is interesting because of its eternal theme: the story of the conflict between fathers and children.
“This is a series about the psychology of teenagers: who rules them and where? Can parents somehow protect them, and who is to blame when children block the bright path? These topics are always topical – both in the 19th century and in the 21st century, Fyodor Mikhailovich once perfectly described how people become “rebels” from boredom and pride, from emptiness and lack of the inner core. However, he has already convincingly shown in his works that faith is the main guide that leads to light, forgiveness and hope,” says the film director.
Karen Shakhnazarov expressed hope that the creators of the series “Qliphot” will share the moral messages of the great writer.
The film director also noted that there are many talents in the series who have not been promoted.
“There are not many exciting talents in the series, but interesting young faces. Of course, how successful this work will be and how accurately it will hit the “nerve” of our age can be evaluated only after the premiere. But I have no doubt that the series “Qliphot” is relevant to its time and will attract the attention of viewers, especially young people,” Shakhnazarov concluded.
Previously, Premier online cinema premiered the series “Qliphot” about “golden youths” uniting against the authority of their influential parents.
