“Sanctions include imprisonment for up to three years, as well as alternative types of punishment: a fine of up to 40 thousand rubles and correctional work. The punishment depends on the circumstances that must be taken into account: personal characteristics, admission of guilt. In the case in question, you can count not only on a suspended sentence but also on a fine,” said the defender.
Senia explained that the article on drug possession means a criminal fine, meaning the defendant will have a criminal record.
On January 19, Shot reported that a criminal case had been opened against actor Rudenko for possession of illegal drugs without the purpose of sale. According to the channel, he was released from the police on an undertaking to appear in court.
Rudenko was detained on the evening of January 17. The actor got very angry when the police stopped his car. Law enforcement later examined Rudenko and found that he had taped a bag containing 0.57 grams of mephedrone to his groin.
The artist was taken to the Presnensky district police station in the capital, where he said he found the package on the street and mistook it for dog poison. He later learned there were drugs inside but didn’t bother to throw them away. Additionally, the actor clarified that he does not plan to sell drugs.
