Comedian and former participant of the Comedy Battle show Leonid Kulakov told in Andrei Predelin’s podcast how Pavel Volya helped him not to give up on his career.
The comedian noted that he came to Moscow to participate in a comedy show, but left at the first stage. After that, according to Kulakov, he suffered a nervous breakdown and his career as a comedian went downhill. At some point, a more experienced colleague, Pavel Volya, came to the aid of Kulakov. The artist helped the aspiring comedian to pull himself together and also provided Kulakov with his “first appearance in the media, his first audience.”
“I had nervous breakdowns and depressions. And this kind of broken, incompetent career began. If it wasn’t for Volya who picked me up, at some point the guys and I would have put me back together piece by piece,” Kulakov recalled.
