Yuri Solomin’s farewell ceremony takes place at the Maly Theater

The farewell ceremony of actor Yuri Solomin is held at the State Academic Maly Theater in Moscow, which he directed for 35 years. This was reported by TASS.

The agency stated that more than 100 people gathered at the theater before the ceremony.

There is a coffin on the stage, soft music plays in the hall, photos of the actor are shown on the screen.

Following the ceremony, Solomin, who died on January 11 at the age of 88, will be buried in Troekurovskoye Cemetery.

Yuri Solomin was born on June 18, 1935 in Chita. He starred in nearly 60 films, the most famous of which are “Our Lord’s Command”, “TASS Authorized to Declare”, “Walking in Torment”. In 1990-1991 the actor and director was Minister of Culture of the RSFSR. The actor passed away on January 11, 2024, after a long illness. He was 88 years old.
