Comedian Idrak Mirzalizadeh said in the program ‘Thought Authority’ that he had to work constantly after emigrating.
Mirzalizade explained that she had to work constantly to have money for accommodation and food. It’s especially hard for him when his stand-up gigs go unattended. According to him, he could afford to work less intensively in Moscow.
The artist said: “Okay, that’s it, you need to study to be a carpenter, I don’t know, to be a programmer quickly, urgently.”
In August 2021, Mirzalizadeh was arrested for 10 days for “inciting hatred or hostility, as well as insulting human dignity.” The reason for filing the lawsuit was the joke he made about Russian tenants. The Ministry of Internal Affairs decided that the comedian’s stay in Russia was undesirable for life.
Moscow Zamoskvoretsky Court in March 2022 rejected Mirzalizadeh’s administrative claim against the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reduced the period during which it is undesirable to stay in Russia to 14 years of life.
İdrak Mirzalizade took part in the projects “Open Microphone”, “Let Them Talk”, “Evening Emergency”, “Stand Up on TNT”. He also hosted the YouTube show “Poraraz Bazza” with Alexey Kvashonkin, Alexander Dolgopolov and Garik Oganisyan.
