Singer Lyubov Uspenskaya may be sued for the song “Polyushku” performed during the New Year’s lights broadcast on Channel One. This is reported by mk.ru with reference to Natalya Lapina, the author of the words and music of the composition.
According to Lapina, she did not allow Uspenskaya to perform the song “Polyushku” in the New Year’s light.
“He has been singing my hit song for three years, brazenly violating copyright. “The fact is that Uspenskaya does not consider it necessary to pay the author,” the songwriter complained, adding that his lawyer would soon sue the artist and the channel for copyright infringement.
Lapina explained that Uspenskaya allegedly sang the song at all concerts, but the author did not receive any royalties for it.
“I was told that the channel broadcasting this time at least showed me, the author of the composition. As for Uspenskaya, “Polyushku” has no copyright, so this song was recently performed by other artists who paid for it,” said Lapina, explaining that he was talking about “Rimsky Duet” and singer Akmal.
Song and music writer was threatened Assumption Court in 2021. Lapina said that she had known Uspenskaya for a long time and that she gave the song to her to dedicate it to her daughter Tanya.
