British actor Tom Wilkinson, known for his leading role in the movie ‘The Full Monty’, died this Saturday at the age of 75.
The actor has been awarded a Bafta, a Golden Globe, a Primetime Emmy Award and two Oscar nominations throughout his career spanning almost 50 years.
star played Gerald Arthur Cooper’s character in the 1997 comedyIt tells the story of a group of laid-off Sheffield steelworkers’ journey to organize an all-male striptease show. Wilkinson reprized the role 26 years later in a Disney+ streaming series paying tribute to the characters.
He also appeared in the 1998 romantic comedy Shakespeare in Love and Christopher Nolan’s 2005 blockbuster Batman Begins.
