Zebra Producciones, owned by the iZen group, signed an agreement with author Dolores Redondo. He produced and adapted his last novel, “Waiting for the Flood”As reported by Destino publishing house this Wednesday.
The work, which sold more than 350,000 copies a year after its publication, introduces the reader to a murderer whom the press christened John Bible, who killed three women in Glasgow between 1968 and 1969.
In the novel, Redondo introduces Scottish police inspector Noah Scott Sherrington, who manages to reach John Bible in the early 1980s, but a heart failure at the last moment prevents him from arresting him. Despite his fragile health, the police officer would continue to pursue the serial killer until he arrived in Bilbao in 1983, just days before a flood devastated the city.
The novel has already been published in Italian and will soon be translated into Basque, French, German, Danish, Polish and Portuguese. Audio adaptation by Audible.
It is not the first time that a work by a Basque author has reached the screens, reaching four million readers worldwide. The novels “The Invisible Guard”, “Presented in the Storm” and “Inheritance of Bones” have already been converted to celluloid.
On the other hand, “North Side of the Heart” will be a series shot in Hollywood, and in France, France Télévisions has filmed a series loosely based on the series “All This I Will Give You”, which is scheduled to premiere at an early date. 2024.
