Actor Ivan Okhlobystin admitted in one of his speeches: aif.ruHe said that he once accidentally beat the People’s Artist of the USSR Oleg Yankovsky.

The incident occurred on the set of Pavel Lungin’s movie “Tsar”. According to the story, Yankovsky’s character was beaten by the crowd and Okhlobystin’s character had to run past him and kick him.

“Black sandbags were placed around Yankovsky. They were not visible behind the actors playing the guards. I run past them, kick and hit Yankovsky right in the liver!” – the actor recalled.

According to Okhlobystin, at that moment Yankovsky screamed and began to swear “terribly.” The artist apologized to his colleague and invited him to the restaurant to make amends. Thereupon, the players made peace, but three days later, another incident occurred.

Okhlobystin performed a scene in which his character leads Yankovsky’s hero to the Tsar by ropes.

“I don’t know at which step I lost my balance and dragged Yankovsky over the rocks.” He stood up and shouted: “Fool! Don’t come to me!” – said the artist.

Okhlobystin noted that he respected Oleg Yankovsky. According to the artist, it was his colleague who inspired him to enter VGIK.
