The Russian Academic Youth Theater canceled the play “Erast Fandorin” based on the first book of the detective series by Boris Akunin (included in the list of terrorists and extremists) (real name Grigory Chkhartishvili). In this respect reported on the official website of the theatre.

“The play “Erast Fandorin” on December 26 was replaced by the play “Flowers for Algernon”. Tickets are valid at the location of purchase or refundable,” theater representatives explained.
At the same time, the play “Erast Fandorin” remained in the playbill for January and February.
“Erast Fandorin” is the non-fictional pain of the director Alexei Borodin over the loss of intelligibility of the criteria and romanticism, which is by no means a tribute to the past, but an urgent necessity of the present.
“The play, adapted from the first book of Boris Akunin’s famous detective series, will fascinate you with the unexpected turns of the mysterious plot, intoxicate you with the sour aroma of time, make you laugh and cry,” says the announcement of the production.
