Merzlikin will star in “A Fairy Tale for Adults” at the Mossovet Theater

It was named the State Academic Theatre. On January 29, 2024, the Moscow City Council will present a new play “Fairy Tales for Adults” (16+). This was reported by the press service of the cultural institution.

The main male role in the play by Mikhail Rakhlin will be played by Honored Artist of Russia Andrei Merzlikin. Also on stage will be Honored Artist of Russia Galina Petrova, Honored Artist of Russia Inga Oboldina and actress Yulia Chebakova.

“Fairy Tales for Adults” is based on Nadezhda Ptushkina’s play about parents who ruin the personal lives of their children.

“The plot of the movie is simple; Two women, mother and daughter, live in the same apartment. One is already approaching the end of his life, the second has already passed the age of falling in love, starting a family and believing in miracles. “The devoted daughter has long forgotten about her own life and selflessly cares for her eccentric, wheelchair-bound mother,” say the authors about the plot of the production.

Everything changes when an unexpected guest arrives at the heroes’ apartment on New Year’s Eve.

“Our emphasis is on finding a miracle. The main characters are two adults who have stopped waiting for miracles. They live an ordinary life with only work, home and problems. In our play, a chain of events takes them away from their normal lives and then they find happiness. “During the action, both the audience and the actors are looking for a miracle, and that miracle comes to them,” says Merzlikin.
