Annual festival “Towards Christmas” started for the eighth time in the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve.

The event program consists of two parts: The first part, called “Classics Only”, will be held between 16 and 30 December. Guests will hear the music of organ concerts, piano claviers and chamber performances.

The second part is planned for the January long weekend and will present non-classical music: ethno-jazz, balalaikas, marimba, modern jazz art, percussion works.

At the end of the festival on January 7, a series of concerts in a new format will begin: “Apartments in the Palace”. The organizers promised guests a relaxed atmosphere with musicians, acoustic performances, plenty of music, literature and interesting stories. Tonight, in the first of these concerts, pianist Daniil Kramer will perform jazz and its derivatives, which are not often heard in palaces, and meanwhile answer questions from the audience.

The festival “Towards Christmas” will take place in Tsaritsino from December 16, 2023 to January 7, 2024. The program takes place in the Opera House and the atrium of the Bread House.
