Scammers extorted 10 thousand dollars from Sergei Pudovkin, director of singer Alexander Buinov. The artist’s representative told socialbites.ca that the attackers used the artist’s phone number. Video messages were sent to Pudovkin, in which Buinov said that he had flown to Khabarovsk on a plane and that he needed to receive a transfer in cryptocurrency.
“It is especially alarming that Alexander actually flew to Khabarovsk. So the criminals actually had knowledge of his schedule, they actually followed him, and they knew where Alexander was: They supposedly sent a video from the plane. Two hours ago, this correspondence was handed over to the police for criminal proceedings for fraud. The statement was written by Alexander Buinov,” said Sergei Pudovkin.
The next victim of scammers, according to the artist’s director, was singer Dmitry Bilan – now the attackers have renamed the account and are introducing themselves under his name.
