Producer Maxim Fadeev admitted on his Instagram account (the owner of the company Meta is known as an extremist and is banned in Russia) that he, too, was a member of a gang when he was young, which was then simply called “the company”.
“Only God knows how I finally managed to become a musician and not go astray. I grew up on the streets, we lived in the sewers, we fought wall to wall. “What I remember about that time were two stab wounds,” Fadeev recalls.
He believes that talk of romanticizing criminal behavior in “The Boy’s Word” is misplaced. According to the artist, many other things corrupt the minds of young people: for example, uncensored news and various websites. Fadeev explained that in his time, young people formed gangs not because of the fact that films about bandits were shown on television, but because of idleness.
“We had nothing to do because the only movie theater in the area was an hour and a half drive from our area. If we cancel all films about gangs, we also have to cancel films about war, we also have to cancel action films as a genre,” Fadeev summarized.
Previously Prigozhin was praised Loboda for a new song in Russian.
