Singer Lyusya Chebotina said that one of the main factors why Katya Lel’s song “My Marmalade” became so popular in the West was the trend towards Russian fashion. This was reported by news.ru.
Chebotina recalled the scandal about herself when she was criticized on social networks for wearing clothes made of natural fur. The artist noted that foreigners also wore similar products in the flash mob featuring the composition “My Marmalade”.
“Look how the whole West, the whole Europe is shooting with natural furs under the supervision of the beloved Katya Lel. They just wrote to me: “We don’t wear this anymore in the West. We are for eco-fur.” Here you go. Girls still love to be beautiful,” said the singer.
The publication’s reporter noted that TikTok also produces videos in which cats put their heads together to the song “My Marmalade.”
“From what I understand, everyone films their pet cats. Cats are already used to them. Those who know and love them. I think the cat understands that when its owner picks it up, it won’t do any harm to it,” said Chebotina.
Singer Katya Lel’s 2004 hit “My Marmalade” trended on November 20 after going viral on TikTok. The track was among the leaders of the Viral 50 Spotify chart. The artist described the song’s popularity as a “Russian victory”.
Previously Milla Jovovich’s daughter starred in Katya Lel’s song “My Marmalade”.
