Belarusian supermodel Polly Cannabis was robbed during her flight from Istanbul to Minsk; Jewelry, including Bulgari and Roberto Coin earrings, were stolen from her hand luggage. The girl told socialbites.ca about this. According to him, airport staff did not allow him to board the plane with hand luggage due to lack of space in the cabin. The girl noted that one of the airport employees was behaving strangely – she ignored the girl in line for a long time and then checked the locks on her carry-on luggage. When the model arrived in Minsk, she realized that she was missing and contacted the police.
“While I was in Belarus, I discovered that all my jewelry was missing. When I picked up my luggage, the locks were already in the wrong place, in the wrong direction, in the wrong position. I contacted our police, they started an investigation, filed a lawsuit, but they said they could only investigate the Belarus part. I started calling Turkey to open a business here, and they said it wasn’t possible without being there in person. Yesterday I flew to Istanbul to apply and start a business. They sent me to this airport police and started watching the video. There was no camera in some parts of the video, and the quality was low in some parts. I asked if I could have the video since the Belarusian police required it for their investigation, they said no. “I called the tourist police in Turkey, then they prepared a report and said there would be an investigation,” he said.
Cannabis said a Bulgari box containing jewelry and documents was stolen at the airport. The second box, along with all the jewelry, was torn and left in the suitcase.
“The first box was Bulgari brand, it contained earrings, a necklace and a pendant, it was taken with the box, I even had the documents for the earrings. The second box was ordinary, torn, all the decorations had fallen off and they threw it back. I kept it as evidence, gave it to the police, they are trying to find fingerprints. I also had Roberto Coin earrings in white gold with diamonds, rings, and other earrings there. The last earrings were not the most expensive, but they had a blue star sapphire, they were very beautiful and special to me,” the model explained.
The supermodel added that she wants to return or reimburse the lost jewelry and also receive moral compensation. Cannabis added that the main issue for him is to eliminate the order in which tourists are robbed at Istanbul Airport.
“Most importantly, I want this criminal organization, the entire system, to be destroyed because I am not alone. I want this airport to install cameras everywhere so that all baggage handlers have a camera on them so that people’s rights are protected regarding these simplified procedures. I want to achieve changes. Actually my world has turned upside down, I always believed that the airport is a place with increased security, there are metal detectors everywhere, there are cameras where you have to show your passport, your ticket, a lot of security. I was under the illusion that the airport was a very safe place. I felt absolutely safe, that was stupid of me. “I’m now worried about how I can travel safely in general,” he concluded.
