Through the pages of this work, Alonso shows readers the different ethnicities, religions and cultures of the cities he visits. . Additionally, at the end of each chapter, the author leaves various clues and an open ending so the reader can continue the journey in their imagination.

At first, when she started traveling, “the idea was to write a little for myself and my children, but gradually I needed it so much.” This is how Alonso explains that he wrote this book “due to necessity”.
