The main role in the series was played by actress Marina Alexandrova, who starred in this character in previous seasons of the film saga. The actor admitted that this hero occupies a special place not only in his creative biography, but also in life in general.
“Ekaterina teaches me a lot: by spying on her, I take something for myself and reject something in my life,” the artist emphasized.
The series will tell about seven favorites of the Empress – the creators decided to focus on many personalities in order to closely examine their stories and understand how they change with the arrival of one or another character in Catherine’s life. Actor Sergei Novosad will portray the soldier Alexander Lansky, Dmitry Gudochkin will portray Alexander Mamonov on the screen, and Stanislav Tikunov will portray Ivan Korsakov.
In the fourth season, Vladimir Yaglich, Mikhail Gorevoy, Pavel Tabakov returned to their roles. At the same time, Anna Kovalchuk joined the cast – she played Ekaterina Dashkova, the friend and partner of the Empress.
