“After school I went to get a technical specialization. By the age of 33, I had changed a dozen lifestyles and roles: I worked as a fitness trainer, sales consultant, and firefighter. But deep down I always dreamed of becoming an artist,” the man admitted.
According to Butenko, in 2014 he decided to move from Volgograd to Moscow and tried his luck in acting there.
“I started with episodic roles that maybe some people didn’t see. There were also feature films. “I now have nearly 100 works in films,” the artist recalled.
Butenko added that he now has works in which he played leading roles in his luggage. According to the actor, he often has to improve himself for the sake of his role; learning horse riding or remembering karate techniques.
“I am the person who is ready to work in front of the camera for 12-15 hours,” he said.
