Alexander Sholokhov, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture, shared with socialbites.ca his memories about his grandfather, Russian writer Mikhail Sholokhov. The MP said his grandfather played a special role in his life.
“I was already over 20 years old when he died. I remember this very well because it played an important role in my life. And in formation, ideas about life and even hobbies. This is a man who can be surprisingly simple, although of course he is incredibly complex. By complexity I mean depth and wisdom, not its perception or communication. He is truly an amazing person. “His importance for the country is especially evident today, at a time when everything he said and warned about, both in his artistic work and in journalism, is happening before our eyes,” he emphasized.
