Director Konstantin Bogomolov admitted that he was “gradually accustoming” the audience to his work. This was reported by RIA News.
Bogomolov recalled how, at the beginning of his theatrical work, people left the hall en masse at premieres. According to the director, 150 out of 800 people left the production of “An Ideal Husband”, and 300 out of 800 people left for “Karamazov”. Bogomolov is famous for his resounding and extraordinary performances.
“And the Karamazovs have been running for ten years, a full house, five hours. “A full house is now watching until the end,” the director shared.
Bogomolov noted that the negative reaction of the public aroused interest in his work. The theater figure is sure that in his profession it is necessary to have not only talent, but also character.
“They broke up so loudly and raged so loudly everywhere that it attracted attention,” the artist said.
Premiere of Bogomolov’s play “Mother” in September affected In late August and early September 2024. The director, together with his regular collaborator production designer Larisa Lomakina, video artist Alan Mandelstam and lighting designer Ivan Vinogradov, is preparing a production based on Maxim Gorky’s novel of the same name.
