The “New People” theater festival will be held in Kaluga, Obninsk, Naro-Fominsk and Moscow. Representatives of the event informed socialbites.ca about this.
The festival will take place between October 20 and November 1. The concept of the event is to hold performances in unusual formats, as well as conduct other original projects: master classes, excursions, meetings with the audience.
The fifth theater festival “New People” will host artists from six regions of Russia. They will organize some events in unusual places. For example, by the river, in a bar or in a library.
The festival will open in Kaluga on October 20 with the street circus performance “Hotel” by the Moscow team “Crazy hotel Company”. And in the Kaluga bar The Rocket Bar and the Moscow Standup cafe, the gripping solo performance “Happy Charlotte” of the Kazan Theater for Young Spectators will be shown.
Festival organizers will also present shows for children and young people. In Obninsk they will show the performance “Music from Everything” and the musical “Brer Rabbit vs Brer Fox”. An interactive performance “Family Bakery” will be held in Naro-Fominsk.
“We will continue to surprise audiences with unconventional formats and introduce various theater genres, from rap musicals to mystical horror. We paid special attention to lovers of plastic theater and modern drama. In short, audiences of all ages with different theater tastes will find interesting events in the festival program,” said festival program director Evgeny Khudyakov.
