“In general, I think we now need to balance our personal interests. Many opposed it because they lacked comfort. Personal things are still more important to them. “These are the same notorious European values,” Kharatyan said, adding that the West also has a lot of good things, for example, the quality of products, cars and cinema.
Kharatyan noted that Russia now produces its own high-quality goods.
“Otherwise we would be stuck with imported ones. Any situation improves through overcoming it. I see this in people too. Meanings emerged. “We are now fighting for the future and prosperity of our country, our children and our grandchildren,” he said.
Canada imposed personal sanctions on Kharatyan. The 63-year-old artist is also included in the database of the Ukrainian website “Peacemaker”, which collects information about citizens dangerous to Ukraine’s national security.
