Fox is shooting ‘Criminal Monk’

Fox is working on a drama based on William Kotzwinkle’s The Crime Monk. This has been reported Hollywood Reporter.

Written by Michael Brandon Guercio (Treadstone, Code Black), the drama revolves around a disgraced police officer with anger management issues who returns to his hometown to settle outstanding business debts of his deceased uncle, a monk. But police instinct tells him the case is dirty.

Now he is forced to leave his quiet monastic life to solve his uncle’s murder and other murder cases.

In addition to writing the screenplay, Guercio will produce with Mosaic’s Jordan Cerf.

The book about the monk was published last year and is the first in a series about the character.

Earlier it became known that the director Kirill Serebrennikov. removes A film about the writer Eduard Limonov, based on Carrera’s book.
