Marvel bosses have fired the writers and directors of the Daredevil reboot after reviewing footage. This was reported by Hollywood Reporter.
Less than half of the 18 episodes in total were shot using a script by writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman, but company president Kevin Feige and other Marvel executives are already confident the series is a failure.
According to insiders, Ord and Corman developed a legal procedural with little action and violence in the spirit of the Netflix series Daredevil. Additionally, main character Matthew Murdoch (Charlie Cox) appears in his superhero costume only in the fourth episode. Marvel plans to keep some scenes and episodes from the previous crew while changing the concept of the project.
Although Ord and Corman have given up writing the series, they will serve as executive producers on the two-season series.
