Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, silver coin collection memory of Picasso’s 50th Anniversary. This issue consists of two square coins. 10 euro square coins with a nominal value of 50 euros and below, As published in the Official Government Gazette (BOE). A maximum of 5,000 units will be printed for the first coin and 10,000 units for the square coin.
The 50 euro coin has a work called ‘Mirror Harlequin’. Pablo Picasso It was preserved in the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum in 1923. On the right is the legend SPAIN and the year of publication 2023. Below the picture is the legend MIRRORED HARLEQUIN.
On the back of the second piece is the work titled ‘.woman with arms raisedPainting by Pablo Picasso in 1936, kept in the Picasso Museum in Malaga.
At the top of the piece, there is the text SPAIN and the year of publication 2023 in capital letters horizontally. At the bottom there is the text WOMAN WITH ARMS RAISED.
On the obverse (common to both parts) there is a Photographic portrait of Pablo Picasso in front of your work ‘Fan‘, made in 1912. Picasso’s signature on the right side of the work; above, in two lines and in capital letters, nominal value EUR 50; Below, Mint mark.
On the back of the first piece of the 10 euro coin, there is a reproduction of Pablo Picasso’s work ‘Wait (Margot)’, which was painted in 1901 and is kept in the Picasso Museum in Barcelona. LA ESPERA (MARGOT) text on the right of the picture.
On the back of the second piece is the work titled ‘.Head of a weeping woman with a handkerchief (III)‘, was painted by Pablo Picasso in 1937 and is preserved in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid. On the right of the picture is the legend of the CRYING WOMAN’S HEAD WITH A SCARF III.
On the back of the third piece there is a work titled ”.Jacqueline is sittingPainting by Pablo Picasso in 1954 and kept in the Picasso Museum in Malaga. On the right of the picture is the text JACQUELINE SITTING.
On the back of the fourth piece there is a work titled ”.woman in bluePainted by Pablo Picasso in 1901 and preserved in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid. BLUE WOMAN text on the right of the picture.
On the back of the fifth piece, there is a work titled ”.ClownThe painting by Pablo Picasso in 1917 is kept in the Picasso Museum in Barcelona. HARLEQUIN text on the right of the picture.
On the back of the sixth piece there is a work titled ”.Bullfighting‘ Painted by Pablo Picasso in 1934, preserved in the ThyssenBornemisza National Museum in Madrid. Below the picture there is the text CORRIDA DE TOROS.
