The Kiss Koala brand filed a lawsuit in the Moscow City Court. The former division of Sony Music Group stated that five American sites illegally hosted tracks GONE.Fludd, Kizaru, Big Baby Tape, VESNA305 and LOVV66.
As part of the proceedings, the company sent a request to the US government to contact ICANN, the organization that manages domains and IP addresses on the network. The company then managed to contact three foreign suppliers and, through the courts, forced them to remove the rails.
