In the American city of Seattle, theater and film actress Lyubov Maykova, beloved by many Soviet and Russian viewers, died. The incident took place on September 18 Russian Institute of Theater Arts (GITIS).

Lyubov Maikova graduated from GITIS in 1980. In 1985, Lyubov Maykova starred in the film “Beauty Salon” by Alexander Pankratov-Cherny. In 1986, he was approved to star in Eldar Ryazanov’s comedy “The Forgotten Melody for the Flute”; the film was released widely a year later. The film was recognized as one of the best films of 1988 and received the main prize of the first All-Union Festival of Magnificent Films “Odessa Alternative” – “Golden Duke”.

In 1989, the actor left the theater. She decided to radically change her life and immigrate to the USA. The actor settled in Seattle, where he lived for the rest of his life.
