Ekaterina Mizulina, head of the Secure Internet League (SLY), issued an open appeal to the Russian Ministry of Defense with a request to call up blogger Danya Milokhin for military service in the Russian Armed Forces. The text was published on his website Telegram-channel.
“The blogger had not previously been drafted into the Russian Armed Forces, but based on available information there is no reason for postponement,” he advised.
Mizulina added in her speech that Milokhin’s entry into the army was justified by the fact that the autumn conscription campaign in Russia will begin in the near future.
The LBI chief added that Milokhin had “previously upset many Russians with Russophobic statements while outside our homeland.”
According to Mizulina, the blogger’s enlistment in the Russian army could contribute to his patriotic education, and Milokhin himself would thereby prove his loyalty and devotion to the country.
