Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki’s first animated feature film on li will be released in Russia under the official localized title “The Boy and the Bird”. This was announced on the Telegram channel by the Russian Reporting rental company.
The cartoon will be released in the wide Russian distribution in November.
On September 7, The Boy and the Bird will open the Toronto Film Festival.
The screenplay of the film was written by Japanese writer Yoshino Genzaburo, “How are you?” published in 1937. based on his book. The project will tell about the emotional and philosophical development of a young child against the background of a family tragedy. The exact release date in Russia is still unknown. It is assumed that this painting will be the last painting in the career of the 82-year-old animator.
Studio Ghibli executive producer Toshio Suzuki stated that because they did not want to reveal the subject of the anime, the producers of the series decided to remove the promotion of the project.
