Comedian Demis Karibidis admitted in an interview with Yulia Menshova that she never considered Mikhail Galustyan or other comedians as her rivals.
“We have been friends for a very long time, since the days of KVN. We are both southerners, the KVN structure in the south was organized as follows: they (the “Sunburned” team) were our elders, we followed them, they always supported them. Later, in the south, any man who looked like Misha or did something or something in principle was not detected, because Misha was somewhere in the sky, far away, ”Karibidis recalled.
He stated that in the 2000s, the Burnt by the Sun team was even more popular than KVN. According to Karibidis, at the group’s concert in Gelendzhik, some fans hung on the trees due to the fact that the hall was completely full. At the same time, both KVN teams – both Galustyan and Karibidis – supported each other and helped write jokes.
The comedian also added that they have a lot in common with their colleagues: for example, a sense of humor as well as ideas about life and creativity. Karibidis assured that he never competed with either Galustyan or any of his colleagues.
