Hundreds of Omsk residents sang “Civil Defense” on the flash mob

On August 26, Omsk hosted a flash mob dedicated to the leader of the rock band “Civil Defense” Yegor Letov. Portal reports “Omsk is here”.

The publication notes that hundreds of Omsk residents gathered in the city park to play and sing the musician’s iconic compositions. The organizer of the event, Ilya Voronkov, said that the flash crowd “went perfectly” and that all the audience and participants were very pleased.

“Many people want similar events to be held for other artists. They also draw attention to the incredible atmosphere felt in the hall and on the pitch. <…> I am happy with the way everything is going, I will probably organize a similar event in the new year,” he said.

The Civil Defense team was founded in 1984 by Yegor Letov and Konstantin Ryabinov from Omsk. A year later, the first collection of the group “Bad Youth” appeared, which is considered one of the best in the group’s work. In total there are more than 20 albums in the “Civil Defense” trunk.
